Ask Mike Minor what’s guided more than thirty years of building businesses, and he won’t point to a strategy or a spreadsheet. He’ll point to people. It’s a philosophy rooted as much in his faith and his family as it is in the boardroom, and it’s the thread running through every chapter of his career, right up to his role today as Owner and Partner at Tint USA. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Mike got his start in the automotive industry in February 1995, joining Dent Wizard as a technician. He was hired by George Roberts, who at the time owned the Dent Wizard franchise for the Carolinas. Over the next decade, Mike worked his way up through the organization, moving into the role of Auction Manager and later Southeast Regional Auction Manager, a position he held until March 2005. When Dent Wizard’s franchise territories were sold and reacquired, Mike and George decided to build something of their own. In April 2005, they launched their first franchise territory of Interior Magic, an automotive reconditioning company based in the Charlotte Metro area. Over the following 16 years, they grew the business well beyond its original scope, expanding services from interior reconditioning to wheels, dent repair, paint, detailing, and automotive window film, giving dealership customers a truly comprehensive reconditioning solution. The company grew further under the Magic One brand, which housed the Paint and Dent divisions, and extended its footprint into South Carolina, East Tennessee, Central Florida, and a paint operation in Houston, Texas. In August 2021, that chapter came full circle when the partners sold the Interior Magic and Magic One operations back to Dent Wizard. The same group that had built those businesses together got right back to work, founding Tint USA and applying everything they’d learned over more than 30 years in the industry to a new focus: architectural window film. That experience shapes how Tint USA operates today. The company was founded on the belief that the foundation for great work starts with great people, which is why Mike and his partners have worked to build a culture of open communication, a shared vision, and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement. They hold themselves to a simple standard: act with honesty, integrity, and fairness in everything they do, and grow leaders who understand the work, live that philosophy, and pass it on to others. That same commitment to people shows up at home. Mike has been married to his wife for more than 30 years, and together they’ve raised four children. Faith and family are the foundation he returns to every day, a constant reminder that no matter how much a business grows, what matters most is how you treat the people around you. For Mike, Tint USA is the latest chapter in a career spent building businesses and the people behind them. Whether he’s working with a customer, a team member, or a fellow partner, his focus stays the same: deliver quality work, build relationships that last, and grow something worth being proud of.
